O.P.D Consultation
Your first step toward mental wellness — confidential, thorough, and professional psychiatric consultations in South City, Lucknow.
What Is an O.P.D Consultation?
An Outpatient Department (O.P.D) consultation is your primary gateway to psychiatric care at Jai Ram Psychiatry Clinic. Whether you are seeking help for the first time, following up on ongoing treatment, or needing a second opinion, our O.P.D consultations provide a structured, confidential, and professional environment for all your mental health needs.
Every O.P.D consultation is conducted personally by Dr. Lt. Col. Aanuj Yadav (Retd.), MBBS, DNB (Psychiatry), MIPS. With 14 years of psychiatric service in the Indian Army and civilian practice since 2023, Dr. Yadav brings a rare combination of extensive clinical experience and genuine compassion to every patient interaction. You will never be rushed, dismissed, or made to feel like just another number.
Our consultations are designed to be thorough yet comfortable. We take the time to listen — really listen — to your concerns, your history, and your goals. Whether you are dealing with a specific symptom or simply feel that something is not right, we provide the expert assessment and guidance you need to take the next step with confidence.
What to Expect at Your Consultation
Knowing what will happen can reduce anxiety. Here is a detailed breakdown.
Check-In & Registration
Upon arrival, our staff will guide you through simple registration. You will be asked for basic information and your primary concern. Everything you share is strictly confidential.
Initial Consultation
Dr. Yadav will spend time understanding your concerns, symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, family background, and current life circumstances. This typically lasts 20-30 minutes for first visits.
Assessment & Evaluation
Based on your consultation, Dr. Yadav may use screening tools, ask detailed questions about specific symptoms, and evaluate potential diagnoses. He will explain his findings in clear, jargon-free language.
Discussion & Planning
Dr. Yadav will discuss his assessment with you, explain treatment options, answer your questions, and collaboratively develop a treatment plan. You are an active participant — not a passive recipient.
Follow-Up Scheduling
If ongoing care is needed, follow-up appointments will be scheduled. Dr. Yadav will explain what to monitor, when to return, and what to do if symptoms change before your next visit.
