Aanuj Yadav (Retd.), the clinic carries forward a legacy of service that began in the Indian Army, where mental health care was not just a profession but a mission to support those who serve the nation.
Located in the heart of South City, near The Millennium School, the clinic was purposefully positioned to serve families, children, and working professionals in a discreet, welcoming environment. Dr. Lt. Col. Aanuj Yadav (Retd.)
Dr. Lt. Col. Aanuj Yadav is a distinguished psychiatrist whose career spans over 14 years of dedicated service in the Indian Army. His journey in mental health care began with a deep commitment to supporting the psychological well-being of soldiers and their families — a role that demanded not just medical expertise but extraordinary resilience, empathy, and discretion.
During his tenure in the Armed Forces, Dr. Yadav handled a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions — from combat-related stress and PTSD to substance use disorders, from family adjustment issues to severe mental illnesses. This diverse and intensive experience shaped his holistic approach to psychiatry, where he learned that healing goes far beyond medication — it requires trust, understanding, and a safe space.
After retiring from military service, Dr. Yadav established Jai Ram Psychiatry Clinic with a mission to bring the same standard of disciplined, compassionate care to the civilian population of Lucknow. His military background instills a unique sense of structure, punctuality, and thoroughness in every consultation — while his warmth and approachability put even the most anxious patients at ease.
Dr. Yadav holds an MBBS degree, a DNB in Psychiatry, and is a Member of the Indian Psychiatric Society (MIPS). He is registered with the Uttar Pradesh State Medical Council (Reg. No: 56238). His special interests include child and adolescent mental health, ADHD and autism assessments, and the management of complex psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
